I experience joy in painting the beauty of the world that surrounds us: the beauty of the individual, the wonder of the animal kingdom, the marvels that surround us through landscapes; all the acts of nature and creation are an inspiration to me.

After graduating from university and working in Ottawa, I met and married my husband and moved out West. When I was at home with my children, I took some art classes and rediscovered the joy I experienced painting as a child. I have been painting since, taking many art courses to increase my knowledge and skills. An ongoing journey!

I also enjoy using a variety of mediums: pastels because of the luscious colours, oil for it’s richness, watercolour for it’s luminosity, acrylics for their vibrancy and versatility.

Painting takes me to that inner place where I can experience the joy which I hope to share with others.
